      Authentic. Compelling. Storytelling.

Congratulations on your engagement! This is such an exciting time for both of you and for your families as you all join together to celebrate your love, happiness and the fact your getting married!

The task you have in front of you is far from easy. Choosing a photographer to tell your love story is probably one of the most important decisions you will have to make in the upcoming months and one that will be with you for the rest of your lives, so it’s important to get it right! I’ve got some great advice on how to choose a wedding photographer on my blog and don’t worry, it doesn’t say ‘pick me!’

      Telling Your Story

My goal is to tell your story in the most compelling way possible. Every couple and subsequently each wedding is totally unique. I aim to ensure that every photograph I compose for you will convey a fleeting moment that when viewed together, tell the tale of the most important chapter in your love story, your wedding day. The result will be the creation of your first family heirloom. No pressure, right?!

A question I’m asked all the time by potential clients is ‘what’s your style?’ My style is calm, unobtrusive and aligns almost perfectly to the photojournalist branch of photography. I think the most important part of what I do is that I observe your day, I capture what happens naturally, I don’t direct it.

      Engagement Photography

I love telling love stories, it's simply what I do. No love story is complete without some beautiful, relaxed portraits of you both before the big day either getting engaged or simply sharing a moment together somewhere beautiful. Engagement photography is also a great way to get prepared for your big day by getting used to me and the camera and will ultimately give you better wedding photographs where you're relaxed, fun and carefree!

      Frequntly Asked Questions

      FAQ

      01.

How do you provide our photographs to us?

As soon as your photographs are edited and ready for you to view, they'll be uploaded to your own password-protected online album which you'll find on my 'Your Story' page.

      02.

How long will it take to receive our digital photographs?

This will be no later than 8 weeks after your wedding. It can be sooner depending on the time of year and how many weddings I have booked.

      03.

Who owns the copyright to the photographs?

The copyright for all photographs will be retained by me. However, as part of your booking, I'll be granting you a licence which means you can put your photographs on social media and print your own tactile copies should you wish.

      04.

Do we get all the photographs you take?

I take a lot of photographs on a beautiful wedding day and if I were to give you everything I took, you'd just have a collection of photo's which don't truly tell the story of the best day of your life. You can trust in me that I will put together a beautiful selection of photographs for you that tell the authentic story of your wedding day in the most compelling way possible.

      05.

What if you’re unwell on the day?

I rarely am! However, if I am so ill that I can't attend then I will appoint another photographer in the first instance to capture your special day so that I can then still edit and curate your story for you. This ensures you'll still get something bold, creative and unique just like you asked for.

      06.

What camera's and kit do you use? Do you carry backups?

I use professional standard Nikon camera's and lenses and always have backups with me just in case. Combine this with enough batteries and memory cards than you can shake a stick at and your precious wedding photographs are in the safest hands.

      07.

Can we have two wedding photographers?

Yes! I include a complimentary second photographer/assistant on all of my packages because I believe all couples should have two! I don't, however, work with photographers that you've already booked. Part of booking me includes exclusivity to me and my team on your special day.

      08.

What if we're not comfortable posing?

Not many people are – myself included! I try to keep things as relaxed and candid as possible but sometimes it's necessary to 'pose' for your photographs, such as your couples portraits. I have a great back-catalogue of cheesy jokes to make you laugh (or cringe!) while we're at it to hopefully make the whole experience less daunting.

      09.

      Do you offer wedding albums?

Yes! Wedding albums are all too often forgotten about nowadays! :( However, they are still and (in my opinion) always will be the best way to display and store your beautiful wedding photographs. I believe in buying local and therefore I use a fantastic company here in the east that prints, binds and finishes my beautiful artisan wedding albums. My 'Signature' wedding package includes a wedding album but they are also available as an optional purchase for all other packages.

      10.

      Do you photograph destination weddings?

I MOST DEFINITELY DO! I haven't yet had the pleasure of photographing a wedding in a French chateau or on the golden Caribbean sands but I hope to one day! If you're having a destination wedding, get in touch with me so I can give you a completely custom quote.

      11.

We love your work but we’re on a budget.

It's my belief that your wedding budget should never prohibit you from having beautiful photographs and although I don't offer a discount for those with a tight budget. I can probably still help, even if we have to scale back the amount of the day you have a photographer for. Get in touch with me and we can discuss it!
