Wedding at Best Western Marks Tey Hotel

It’s a beautiful, bright and crisp winter day, the sun is shining. It’s two day’s after Valentine’s day and love is in the air! It was the beautiful Emily & Lucy’s wedding at the Marks Tey Hotel just outside Colchester, Essex. We arrived bright and bushy tailed to not just one, but two beautiful bridal parties getting ready at opposite ends of the hotel.

Lucy had opted for a fun and timeless short lace-adorned dress with beautifully detailed sleeves. Whereas Emily had been smitten with an elegant gown, sporting a short train, a lace-bodice and finished with lace sleeves. Only Emily’s Mum had seen both dresses before the big day. The part of the day that struck me most was just before the ceremony. Lucy was waiting in the grand foyer outside the ceremony room for her blushing bride so they could walk down the aisle together. Lucy’s reaction to seeing her beautiful bride-to-be, Emily in her wedding dress is one that I will never forget. The two dresses were so different and yet complemented each other perfectly.

      About Troy Pullen

Cambridge wedding photographer, storyteller and pug enthusiast

Thank you for stopping by to visit my little corner of the internet. You may be here looking for a wedding photographer or you may be here looking for inspiration, you may even be here for another reason; whatever your reasons for being here, hello and welcome!

In 2017, I decided to put my near-lifelong passion, photography, to good use in order to give people natural, creative and emotion evoking wedding photographs that not only tell love stories but tell them in the most compelling way possible.

The thing I love most about being a wedding photographer is meeting new couples and getting to know them, getting to learn about them and their story up until now. This helps me to tell what the most important chapter of their love story unquestionably is; their wedding.

One of the most enjoyable parts about being a wedding photographer is when I’m curating a couple’s love story and having got to know them; be able to identify the moments which a couple may not have seen but will really resonate with them and tell them the hidden tale’s of their perfect day.

I will never know how people don’t support two people in love declaring that and taking vows to spend the rest of time together. These girls are stunning and you can see they are so in love. I love seeing weddings like this
